Commercial passenger services have been canceled and while some services may run during this period, further cancellations and delays are likely. Disruptions come after a mining train derailed along the Trans-Gabon Railway between Mbel and Oyan at about 07:20, April 22. No fatalities were reported following the incident. Derailments occur regularly on Gabon's rail network.

Further freight and passenger rail disruptions are possible in the coming days as maintenance operations continue along the affected line.
