The Szikra Movement, an opposition activist group, will lead a protest in Budapest June 5 against a proposed Chinese university campus. Participants will gather on Andrassy Avenue near Heroes' Square around 15:00 before marching to Kossuth Lajos Square starting 16:00. The exact march route is unclear but includes Kodaly Circus, Elizabeth Square, Jozsef Attila Street, Szechenyi Square, and Akademia Street. Several thousand people are expected to attend.

Authorities will deploy additional police to monitor and facilitate the demonstration. Current COVID-19 measures in Hungary place restrictions on large gatherings.
