Event

An increased security presence and transport restriction measures are especially likely at polling stations, government buildings, and other sensitive sites, leading to disruptions. Clashes could break out if voters do not follow security personnel instructions.
Context

Recent polls indicate that voter turnout will likely be around 38 percent, the lowest in Iran's history.
