The farmers' union AgroUnia is leading a protest near Srock, July 20. The action is against rules imposed to stop the spread of African Swine Fever that require the slaughter of healthy animals. Around 250 activists are involved and are conducting a go-slow protest along the National Road 12 near Srock; the action is scheduled to end around 16:00. Srock is located approximately 122 km (75 miles) southwest of Warsaw.
Additional police are deployed to monitor the action. Significant traffic congestion is likely on National Road 12 and adjacent routes around Srock for the duration of the action.
