Event

Multiple medical workers' unions have called off a nationwide strike after the health minister agreed to bring their demands to the cabinet. The 15 unions are demanding the government improve working conditions, including higher allowances. The labor action led to service disruptions at facilities nationwide with hospitals delaying non-urgent surgeries and COVID-19 testing down in several locations. The cabinet meeting is scheduled to take place July 12; workers could stage additional actions following the meeting if the government does not address their concerns.
