Wallis and Futuna eases some domestic COVID-19 controls as of July 15. Entry ban remains in effect.
Event
Authorities have eased some additional domestic COVID-19 measures as of July 15. Officials require people to wear facemasks in indoor venues where social distancing is impossible, in school transport, on airplanes, and at Hihifo Airport (WLS) and the quays in Mata Utu and Leava. Officials allow public gatherings of up to 100 people. Nonessential businesses have reopened with capacity limits of 50-percent at most venues. Previous restrictions on domestic travel have been lifted.
Travel Restrictions
The border remains effectively closed to most travelers, as international commercial passenger flights and ships remain banned. However, officials permit flights from New Caledonia. Permitted travelers must undergo a COVID-19 test within 72 hours of departure.
