Guinea-Bissau: Officials enhance domestic COVID-19 restrictions though Sept. 10 /update 25
Authorities enhance domestic COVID-19-related restrictions in Guinea-Bissau through Sept. 10; international measures remain.

Officials have ordered new domestic measures to combat COVID-19 under an expanded state of calamity as of Aug. 27. The new measures will run through Sept. 10.
A 20:00-05:00 curfew will be in place. Exceptions are in place for health emergencies and international travel. Exempt persons must produce a negative COVID-19 PCR test.
Movement restrictions into and out of Bissau, Safim, and Prabis are in force. Essential service workers are exempt from the mandate.
Facemasks are mandatory on public transport.
Religious institutions are closed.
Markets are closed on Saturdays and Sundays. They can open 05:00-15:00 Monday-Friday.
Nonessential workers in the public and private sectors are exempted from their duties.
Restrictions on public gatherings remain in effect.
International Travel Restrictions
Passenger flights are operating, as are humanitarian, medical, and cargo flights. All incoming travelers must produce a negative result from a COVID-19 test taken no more than 72 hours before travel to be granted entry into Guinea-Bissau. Individuals who display symptoms or have been in contact with other travelers displaying symptoms will be screened and tested. Travelers not in possession of a COVID-19 test certificate may also face a self-isolation period. Land and sea borders are open.
Authorities could reimpose, extend, further ease, or otherwise amend any restrictions with little-to-no notice depending on disease activity over the coming weeks.
