Wallis and Futuna continuing domestic COVID-19 measures as of Aug. 27. Quarantine-free flights from New Caledonia to begin Aug. 30.

Officials continue to implement COVID-19 restrictions as of Aug. 27. Officials allow public gatherings of up to 100 people. Nonessential businesses have reopened at 50-percent capacity at most venues. The government has lifted previous restrictions on domestic travel. Officials require people to wear facemasks in indoor venues where social distancing is impossible, in school transport, on airplanes, at Hihifo Airport (WLS), and Mata Utu and Leava quays.
Travel Restrictions
The border remains effectively closed to most travelers, as international commercial passenger flights and ships remain banned from most locations. Visitors from New Caledonia and resident French nationals can enter the territory via New Caledonia with a travel certificate completed before boarding. Permitted travelers must undergo a COVID-19 test within 72 hours of departure and quarantine for 14 days. Quarantine-free flights from New Caledonia will resume from Aug. 30.
