Poland: Activists to protest COVID-19 restrictions in Warsaw, Sept. 15

Activists will rally in Warsaw Sept. 15 to denounce COVID-19-related movement and behavioral restrictions. The rally will be held at the Statue to Wincenty Witos in Plac Trzech Krzyzy from 16:00. Attendance could reach the low thousands.

Authorities will likely deploy police to monitor the protest. Associated security measures will likely prompt localized transport disruptions. Additionally, participants may attempt to march to the nearby Sejm (Parliament) on Wiejska for an additional rally. Although significant violence is not anticipated, low-level scuffles cannot be ruled out, particularly if activists attempt to rally in unauthorized areas or cross police lines.
