Iran: Fuel supply disruptions possible following alleged cyber attack, Oct. 26
Cyber attack reportedly disrupts operations at fuel stations across Iran, Oct. 26. Fuel supply disruptions and associated queues possible.
Event
Fuel supply disruptions have been reported at fuel stations nationwide, Oct. 26. An alleged cyberattack disrupted the sale of subsidized gasoline via 'smart cards' at gas stations throughout the country at 11:00; regular gasoline reportedly remains unaffected. Long queues have been reported at gas stations throughout the country. While the oil ministry claims 40 percent of Iran's gas stations have resumed regular service, heightened demand at available stations will likely prompt additional localized disruptions.
