Women's rights activists are planning to march in central Groningen Nov. 25 to denounce violence against women amid the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. Participants will gather from 18:00 at the Vismarkt; organizers did not immediately announce the march route.

Although the protest is likely to pass off without incident, police will probably deploy to monitor the event and could impose localized movement restrictions, including possible road closures. Public transport could be temporarily disrupted.
