As of Dec. 6, Colombia has imposed COVID-19 vaccine requirements for individuals to enter certain businesses. Travel restrictions unchanged.
Event
As of Dec. 6, authorities in Colombia have imposed requirements for individuals aged 12 years and older to have at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine to be allowed entry into multiple businesses, including mass events, concerts, sporting events, restaurants, clubs, museums, and cinemas.
Effective Dec. 14, individuals aged 18 years and older will be required to be fully vaccinated to enter these locations, and starting Dec. 28, the requirement to be fully vaccinated will be enforced for everyone aged 12 and older.
Additionally, authorities have issued orders to ban mass events, such as concerts and festivals, in municipalities where intensive care units have an occupation of more than 85 percent. Officials also plan to ban these events in municipalities where less than 60 percent of the population has at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, but have not confirmed when this restriction will be in place.
Individuals in Colombia must also wear facemasks in indoor public settings, and maintain social distancing measures whenever possible.
International Travel Restrictions
All travelers wishing to enter Colombia need to complete the "Check-Mig" online form between 24 hours and one hour before departure and must comply with regulations associated with contact tracing upon arrival. Travelers are also required to complete the online form before leaving Colombia. Individuals exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms, or those who have recently tested positive or have been in close contact with a person with COVID-19, will not be allowed to enter the country. All travelers over the age of two must wear protective facemasks during their flight and at the airport.
Approved international commercial passenger flights are operating at the nation's main airports. Air service is available between Colombia and multiple nations in the Americas and Europe. Colombia's land, river, and maritime borders with Panama, Ecuador, Peru, and Brazil are open, although movement may be limited due to restrictions from the other governments.
Authorities could further tighten, reimpose, extend, ease, or otherwise amend any restrictions with little-to-no notice depending on disease activity over the coming weeks.
