Demonstrators are blocking traffic in multiple areas of Bogota as of late Dec. 28. TransMilenio bus service has announced a temporary closure of Portal De Las Americas and Patio Boito stations. Protesters are also blocking several roads, including parts of Calle 49 Sur.

Heightened security and localized business and transport disruptions are likely near all protest sites. Confrontations between protesters and the security forces are possible if demonstrators are overly disruptive, ignore police orders to disperse, or engage in acts of public violence.
