Health workers are protesting outside the National Congress building in Guatemala City, Dec. 1. Protesters have blocked the 9a Avenida and 10a Calle. Traffic is being diverted to 11a Avenida and 7a Avenida.

Authorities are monitoring the protest. While no violence has been reported so far, clashes between police and protesters are possible if demonstrators become unruly or authorities attempt to disperse protesters.
