Bahrain enforcing updated COVID-19-related entry restrictions as of Feb. 21; domestic restrictions remain in effect.
Event
As of Feb. 21, authorities in Bahrain are maintaining updated international entry restrictions in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Since Feb. 20, all travelers to Bahrain no longer need to conduct a PCR test upon arrival. This measure also applies to travelers arriving in Bahrain via the King Fahd Causeway.
In addition, authorities removed quarantine requirements for all travelers arriving into the country. Previously, unvaccinated travelers arriving in Bahrain had to quarantine for 10 days.
Domestic Measures
Bahrain employs a COVID-19 Alert Level Traffic Light System, which stipulates differing levels of domestic restrictions based on the rolling average COVID-19 positivity rate. For more detailed information on measures enforced at each level, click here.
International Travel Restrictions
The following international travel measures also generally remain in effect:
Entry is generally restricted to Bahraini citizens and residents, GCC citizens who do not need a visa (i.e., citizens of Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE), passengers eligible to obtain a visa on arrival, and passengers with a valid electronic visa. For a full list of nationalities eligible to obtain a visa on arrival, click here.
All passengers must complete the Ministry of Health's Health Declaration Form and download the BeAware Bahrain application before departure. To view the form, click here.
Passengers arriving at Bahrain International Airport (BAH) no longer need to present a negative pre-departure PCR test result.

Authorities could reimpose, extend, further ease, or otherwise amend any restrictions with little-to-no notice depending on disease activity over the coming weeks.
Advice
Follow all official instructions. Abide by national health and safety measures. Reconfirm all business appointments and travel arrangements. Consider delaying traveling if experiencing symptoms associated with COVID-19, as they may prompt increased scrutiny and delays. Liaise with trusted contacts for further updates and guidance. Ensure contingency plans account for further disruptive measures or extensions of current restrictions. Reconsider and reconfirm nonemergency health appointments.
