Activists are protesting the government's COVID-19 countermeasures in Rotterdam Feb. 6. The action started 12:00. Participants gathered at Binnenrotte in the city center; from there they will march over Willemsbrug via Noordereiland to Rotterdam-Zuid, and then return to Binnenrotte via Erasmusbrug around 17:00. Organizers have stated that up 15,000 people will attend.

The action coincides with a police strike that is running 10:00-14:00; striking officers have stated they will deploy to the march route but will not intervene until 14:00, except if the march degenerates into unruly behavior. Previous actions of a similar nature have turned violent; clashes are possible Feb. 6. Localized ground transport disruptions are likely until the march has concluded.

Avoid the affected area. Heed the instructions of authorities. Allow extra time to reach destinations in central Rotterdam through at least the evening of Feb. 6.
