Multiple explosions are being reported in cities across Ukraine early Feb. 24 after Russian President Vladimir Putin declared a military operation in eastern parts of the country. According to unconfirmed media reports, explosions are occurring in Kyiv, Mariupol, Kramatorsk, Kharkiv, and Odesa, Gunfire is also being reported near Boryspil International Airport (KBP).
Russian military forces are likely continue operations in eastern Ukraine over the coming hours and days.
