Turks and Caicos Islands: Authorities slightly ease and extend COVID-19 restrictions through April 30 /update 37
Officials in Turks and Caicos slightly ease and extend COVID-19-related restrictions through April 30.
Event
Authorities in the Turks and Caicos Islands have issued orders to slightly ease current COVID-19 related restrictions and extend them through at least April 30. Under the new directives, individuals will no longer require permits for any gathering or event with over 100 people. Other restrictions remain unchanged.
Domestic Measures
Most businesses and places of worship can open without capacity limits and are not obligated to require proof of vaccination from visitors. Individuals must continue to wear facemasks in indoor public settings; authorities also recommend using facemasks outdoors when close to others.
International Travel Restrictions
All arriving passengers must continue to obtain an online pre-travel authorization by providing a negative result from a PCR, antigen, or other accepted COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours before arrival and a completed health screening questionnaire. Additionally, all visitors must have proof of insurance that covers COVID-19 medical costs. All arrivals aged 18 years and older must be fully vaccinated. Children under two years of age are exempt from testing requirements. It is advised that travelers complete and upload the pre-travel authorization at least 24 hours before boarding.
Returning residents who are not fully vaccinated must quarantine for 10 days upon arrival and take an additional test on day seven.
Authorities could reimpose, extend, further ease, or otherwise amend any restrictions with little-to-no notice, depending on local disease activity.
