The fire broke out at a training complex outside the facility. Clashes between Russian and Ukrainian forces initially blocked access to the fire. As a precaution, authorities shut down some operations at the plant, but there are no reported damages to the facilities. Ukrainian regulators are not reporting any changes to radiation levels at the site.

Clashes may resume near the power plant over the coming hours and days. Electricity and telecommunication disruptions are also possible.
