The Forum for Democracy (FvD) party is leading a protest in central Amsterdam the afternoon of April 18. Participants assembled at Damplein, before marching to Museumplein for arrival there 15:00. The group will hold a rally, with the event scheduled to end 17:00. Several hundred people are reportedly participating in the demonstration, which is being held to oppose a number of different government policies.
Police have deployed to monitor and facilitate the event. Large crowds and associated security measures may prompt localized transport and business disruptions. Public transport may be disrupted. Significant violence is not likely, but isolated clashes cannot be ruled out.
