Iran: Shooting in Tehran, May 28

Event

At least one and possibly two unidentified assailants shot and wounded two security force personnel and injured a civilian near Tejarat Bank located along Taleqani Street in Tehran during the morning May 28. The incident coincided with a gathering at the nearby Martyr and Veterans Affairs Foundation. A connection between the gathering and the shooting has not been established. At least one suspect has been arrested. The motive for the shooting is unclear. There is no confirmed ongoing threat in the area.
