Nepal: Search operations ongoing for missing Tara Air passenger aircraft enroute from Pokhara to Jomson May 29 /update 1

Authorities are conducting search operations for missing Tara Air (TB) passenger aircraft 9NAET as of the afternoon of May 29. The aircraft lost contact with air traffic control shortly following its departure from Pokhara airport (PKR) at around 09:55 for Jomson airport (JMO). Reports indicate up to 22 people, including four Indian nationals and several other foreigners, were on board the twin-propeller aircraft.

Heightened security and flight delays are possible at PKR and JMO as search operations continue.
