Officials in Turks and Caicos have eased multiple COVID-19-related travel and domestic restrictions as of May 2.

Warning

Event

Authorities in the Turks and Caicos Islands have issued orders to ease their COVID-19-related travel restrictions as of May 2. Under the new directives, individuals no longer have to show proof of a negative COVID-19 test before traveling to the islands. Requirements for travelers to apply for a travel authorization, complete a health questionnaire, and present evidence of health insurance have also been lifted. Additionally, the use of facemasks is no longer required in the islands.

Domestic Measures
Most businesses and places of worship can open without capacity limits and are not obligated to require proof of vaccination from visitors. The use of facemasks is no longer required.

International Travel Restrictions
Unvaccinated nonresident foreign nationals remain banned from entering Turks and Caicos, unless they are part of a few exceptions, such as individuals under the age of 18, crew members of commercial aircraft, and people with proof of medical exceptions to the COVID-19 vaccines.

Fully vaccinated travelers must show proof of their vaccination before traveling but are no longer required to take a pre-travel test or to quarantine upon arrival. While proof of health insurance is no longer required, visitors will be required to fully pay any healthcare and quarantine costs if they test positive for COVID-19 during their visit.

Unvaccinated residents may enter Turks and Caicos, but must quarantine for seven days upon arrival, and have a negative COVID-19 test to finish the quarantine. If the test is positive, they will need to isolate.

Authorities could reimpose, extend, further ease, or otherwise amend any restrictions with little-to-no notice, depending on local disease activity.
