The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued two tornado warnings for areas north of Raleigh and Durham, North Carolina, effective until at least 16:45 EDT May 23. Areas under the tornado warnings include southwestern Vance County, southern and southeastern Granville County, north-central Wake County, and northwestern Franklin County. The warnings could be extended or expanded at short notice.
