Further protests are likely through at least late June following a teachers' protest in Bissau, June 13. Teachers gathered in front of the Government Palace building in Bissau to demand the payment of salary arrears. Police forces dispersed protesters with tear gas. At least ten participants were injured.
Security forces will almost certainly deploy to and attempt to disperse any further gatherings that occur. Clashes are likely at all related events. Protests and security force deployments could result in localized ground travel disruptions.
