Belgium: Brussels Airlines cancels hundreds of flights through August

Brussels Airlines (SN) has indicated that it will cancel 527 flights scheduled in July and August in an effort to reduce staff workload and prevent associated strike action. The airline announced a similar measure in July, canceling 148 flights. The number of flights canceled represents between 5 and 6 percent of the airline's total flights during the impacted period. Further flight reductions are possible in the coming weeks in response to staff and union action.
