Authorities in Eswatini ease COVID-19-related domestic measures as of July 29. International restrictions remain in place.

Event

Authorities have eased COVID-19-related domestic restrictions as of July 29. The country is now at Adjusted Risk Level 0.

Domestic Measures

  • As of July 29, The wearing of face masks is no longer mandatory in all settings.

  • If tested positive for COVID-19, a person should wear a face mask at all times if they need to go to public areas.

International Travel

  • Vaccinated travelers must demonstrate proof of a completed vaccine scheme. It remains unclear if a booster for a two-schedule vaccine with a QR code is required.

  • Unvaccinated travelers entering must provide a negative result from a COVID-19 test taken no more than 72 hours prior to the time of departure.

  • All travelers will be screened upon arrival. Unvaccinated travelers arriving without a negative COVID-19 test result or showing symptoms of the virus will likely be required to take a test at their own cost.

Authorities could reintroduce, ease, or otherwise amend restrictions at any time based upon disease activity. Additional restrictions are possible in response to security-related developments.
