Authorities plan to dispose of a WWII-era bomb in Bolzano July 17; the device was discovered during construction work near Via Alto Adige in the city center. Authorities will impose an approximately 500 meter (1,640 foot) security cordon around the device to facilitate the disposal operation from 08:45.

Individuals within the security cordon must evacuate, and no traffic will be permitted within the security cordon for the duration of the disposal operation. Public transport in the area will be canceled or diverted. Rail services operating via Bolzano Station will be suspended. Officials have not provided an estimate for when the security cordon will be lifted.
