Rival armed groups have clashed on the western outskirts of the city of Misrata July 23, in proximity to the main highway leading to Tripoli. Incoming information suggests the fighting occurred between the Mahjoub Brigade and the Joint Operations Force near the Dafiniyah checkpoint. Violence subsided after another armed group, the Counter Terrorist Force Reserve Division, intervened. Unconfirmed reports indicate at least one person died in the clashes.
