As of July 30, the Portuguese Railway Command and Control Professionals Union Association (Associacao Sindical dos Profissionais do Comando e Controlo Ferroviario Portugues, APROFER) has canceled the nationwide railway strike scheduled for Aug. 1, 3, and 5. The announcement follows negotiations between APROFER and Infraestruturas de Portugal (IP), the national railway infrastructure provider. Normal operations are likely to continue in the coming days.
