Ukraine, Poland: Construction closes the Korczowa/Krakovets border crossing to westbound traffic July 18-31

Korczowa/Krakovets border crossing point between Ukraine and Poland to close to westbound traffic July 18-31 due to maintenance work.

Informational

Event

Poland Border Guard officials have announced that they will suspend westward traffic from Ukraine into Poland via the Korczowa/Krakovets border crossing for approximately two weeks beginning at 10:00 July 18. The purpose of the temporary closure is to allow for construction work to take place at the facility. Authorities recommend that, in the meanwhile, travelers use the Medyka crossing point along the M11 motorway as an alternative route to enter Poland from Ukraine. Lingering business and transport disruptions are likely even after the Korczowa/Krakovets border crossing resumes normal operations.

Advice

Plan alternate routes for entering or shipping ground freight into Poland from Ukraine for the duration of the Korczowa/Krakovets border crossing closure. Allow extra time for cross-border travel.
