At least six people are reportedly injured after a vehicle crashed into the outside seating area of a cafe on Rue Saint-Michel in central Brussels on the afternoon of Aug. 26. Police have cordoned off sections of Boulevard Adolphe Max and Place de Brouckere, while the emergency response and investigations continue.

The motive for the incident remains unclear. The driver of the van fled the scene in the vehicle following the incident. The vehicle has since been recovered after being abandoned by the driver. Police continue their search for the suspect.
