Bulgaria reintroduces COVID-19-related indoor facemask mandate in Sofia Aug. 4-19.

Bulgarian authorities have reinstated the COVID-19-related domestic facemask mandate in most indoor spaces in the Sofia City Province from Aug. 4-19, following a rise in COVID-19 cases. The order will remain in effect for 15 days. The COVID-19 restrictions apply to public transportation hubs, Sofia Airport (SOF), shopping malls, administrative and government offices, and healthcare facilities. Persons must also remain 1.5 meters (4.9 feet) apart. Restrictions do not apply to people exercising indoors, staff and customers of food and entertainment establishments, or children under the age of six. Most other domestic measures and restrictions have been lifted.

Authorities may increase restrictions with little-to-no notice depending on disease activity over the coming weeks.
