Portuguese authorities have extended the COVID-19-related state of alert until Sept. 30, though minimal restrictions are enforced by the state of alert. The requirement to wear facemasks on public transport was lifted as of Aug. 26.

Domestic Measures
Wearing a facemask remains mandatory in healthcare facilities.

International Travel Restrictions
All international travelers to mainland Portugal, Madeira, and the Azores, regardless of their origin or purpose of travel, are permitted entry without restriction.

Authorities could reimpose, extend, further ease, or otherwise amend any restrictions with little-to-no notice depending on disease activity over the coming weeks.
