Dutch airline KLM cancels over 42 flights from Amsterdam's Schiphol airport (AMS), Sept. 19, quoting "operational issues" and reported staff shortages. The airport is warning passengers to expect long delays. The cancellations started Sept. 17, and the airport has announced a reduction in the total number of passengers than can be processed, expected to last until the end of October.

Passengers are likely to experience delays and disruption to airport operations including check-in and security checks, as well as flight cancellations.
