Suspected Russian airstrikes targeted rebel-held positions near Jisr al-Shughur in Idlib Governorate, Sept. 8. The airstrikes have killed seven people and wounded 15 others. Several other people reportedly remain trapped under rubble.

The Russian military has yet to comment on the incident; however, it has regularly targeted military sites belonging to Syrian rebel forces. Additional similar incidents remain likely over the coming days and weeks.
