Informational

Event

At least 50 people were killed after Ethiopian National Defense Force (ENDF) airplanes bombed a school sheltering internally displaced people (IDPs) in Adi Daero, northern Tigray Region, Oct. 4. ENDF denied targeting civilians, saying it carried out the strike to neutralize members of the Tigray People's Liberation Front (TPLF). Adi Daero is around 40 km (25 miles) from the border of Eritrea.

Military forces in the northern Tigray region will almost certainly maintain a heightened security posture over the coming days. Further airstrikes are possible over the short term.
