Reports indicate that Russian missile and rocket strikes targeted multiple cities across Ukraine, including Dnipro, Lviv, Kyiv, and Ternopil on the morning of Oct. 10. Initial reports suggest that at least eight people died and 24 others were injured when missiles struck Shevchenkivsky and Solomianskyi districts in Kyiv. The Kyiv Metro has been suspended to allow all stations to be used as bomb shelters amid the sustained aerial bombardment. Power outages have been reported in Lviv. Authorities are asking residents to take shelter.

A heightened security and emergency presence is likely in the blast sites over the coming hours. Travel and business disruptions are also likely in affected areas as the emergency response continues.
