Libya: Security forces deploy near the Radisson Blu Hotel in Tripoli Nov. 14
Disruptions likely following deployment of security forces in front of Radisson Blu Hotel in Tripoli, Libya, Nov. 14. Clashes possible.

Armed forces loyal to the Government of National Unity (GNU) and Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah surrounded the Radisson Blu Hotel Nov. 14. The armed forces prevented members of the High Council of State (HCS) from entering the hotel and holding the session scheduled for Nov. 14. The HCS meeting has been postponed until further notice.
In a press statement, the HCS spokesman claimed that forces loyal to the GNU prevented the session because it was scheduled to discuss executive authority. Security forces loyal to the HCS were deployed to disperse GNU forces gathered around the Radisson Blu Hotel.
Heightened security will likely remain in Tripoli through Nov. 14. Armed clashes between forces loyal to the GNU and HCS security forces cannot be ruled out. Ground travel delays are likely near the affected areas.
