Disruptions and cancelations to high-speed Thalys train services between Paris, France, and Amsterdam, Netherlands, likely Nov. 7-15.

As of Nov. 7, high-speed train company Thalys announced cancelations and disruption to its services between Paris, France, and Amsterdam, Netherlands, through Nov. 15 due to issues with equipment and maintenance work.

As a result, at least 12 services were canceled Nov. 7, with a number of other services expected to be canceled every day through Nov. 14. All trains scheduled between Paris and Brussels, Belgium, have been canceled in both directions Nov. 11.

Furthermore, the company announced that services between Rotterdam, Netherlands, and Amsterdam would be disrupted through Nov. 15 due to track maintenance. Thalys services to Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (AMS) are likely to also be affected.

Significant disruption to Thalys services is likely along the entirety of the Paris-Amsterdam route through at least Nov. 15. The company has offered exchanges or refunds for all affected tickets purchased on the Thalys website.

Advice

Reconfirm Thalys services through Nov. 15 prior to travel and plan alternative routes if necessary. Allow extra time to reach destinations.
