The far-right National Movement group is currently leading Independence Day demonstrations in central Warsaw. Thousands of activists have marched to the National Stadium where events are scheduled until 19:00. Anti-fascist organizations have staged counterdemonstrations along the march route.

Additional police are deployed to monitor the actions and keep rival activist groups apart. Large crowds and associated security measures are prompting localized business and transport disruptions in central Warsaw. Isolated clashes have been reported between rival activist groups; police have used forceful methods to disperse violent participants. Bystanders are unlikely to be directly targeted in any violence but would face an indirect threat of physical harm.

If possible, avoid the demonstrations as a routine security precaution and to mitigate associated disruptions. Heed instructions from security services and leave the are at the first sign of a confrontation.
