Qatar: FIFA 2022 World Cup matches to take place, Nov. 30

Qatar is to host four FIFA 2022 World Cup matches, Nov. 30. The following matches are scheduled to take place at the following locations and times:

• Al Wakrah: Al Janoub Stadium, Australia vs. Denmark, kick-off (KO) 18:00

• Al Rayyan: Education City Stadium, Tunisia vs. France, KO 18:00

• Doha: Stadium 974, Poland vs. Argentina, KO 22:00

• Lusail: Lusail Stadium, Saudi Arabia vs. Mexico, KO 22:00

Heightened security measures around the World Cup matches, including security cordons and an increased number of travelers, will likely prompt localized travel and business disruptions in the vicinity of stadiums hosting games.

In addition, football hooliganism is possible around venues where matches are played. While alcohol will not be sold inside or around the perimeter of stadiums, consumption of alcohol in the lead-up to football matches, particularly in areas where alcohol is sold such as fan zones, could increase the likelihood of confrontations around stadiums.

Moreover, individuals displaying objects and clothing that are perceived as "political" could be briefly detained. In recent days, Qatari security forces have stopped and asked individuals to remove rainbow shirts and other clothing items due to their association with the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer (LGBTQ) community.
