Authorities are responding to the discovery of an unexploded World War II-era bomb to the south of Graz, Dec. 8. A security zone has been established and local people have been evacuated. The motorway A2 has been closed to traffic and diversions are in place. Flights from the nearby Graz airport (GRZ) have been temporarily suspended.

Authorities will deactivate the bomb during the afternoon of Dec. 8. Lingering disruptions are likely as traffic and flight operations return to normal.
