Turkey: Explosion in Akcakale District, Dec. 4

Event

An explosion was reported in a retail store in the Suleymansah area of Akcakale District, Sanliurfa Province, early Dec. 4. At least four people were injured. The cause of the blast is unclear. The impacted store is located on the ground floor of an apartment building.

Emergency services are likely to remain in the area through Dec. 4. Officials could evacuate the impacted site until the structural integrity of the building is assured. Road closures are also likely in the area.
