An explosion was reported in front of the State Emergency Service regional office in the Moldavanka neighborhood near the Odesa city center on the evening of Dec. 2. The blast was reportedly caused by an explosive device discovered in a parked vehicle. Eight persons, including five police officers, have been injured.

Emergency services have been deployed to the impact area. Localized road travel disruptions are likely near the incident site in the coming hours.
