A demonstration occurred outside Sweden's diplomatic mission in Istanbul over the burning of the Quran by a far-right activist from Denmark on Jan. 21, who received authorization from Swedish police to protest outside Turkey's Embassy in Stockholm. The incident comes amid recent anti-Turkey demonstrations in Sweden. In response, the Turkish government has canceled a planned visit by Sweden's Defense Minister.
