Recovery operations continue in Pasadena, Texas, in the Houston area, as of early Jan. 25 following tornado activity Jan. 24. A large tornado touched down at approximately 15:00, causing significant damage to a number of structures. The storm displaced at least 25 people due to damage to their homes. Power and gas outages were reported in a number of locations in Pasadena Jan. 24; as of early Jan. 25, power has been restored to most homes. Pasadena Independent School district has announced closures for Jan. 25 due to power outages. A freight train was derailed in the area by the storm.

Emergency service response operations are ongoing in the impacted region and are almost certain to continue over the coming days. Associated responses and tornado damage are likely to result in localized ground and rail travel delays in the coming days. Employees may be affected by school closures.
