Informational

Event

Activists, including left-wing groups, plan to demonstrate in Parc des Cropettes, Geneva, from 15:00 March 18. The protest is to denounce the Swiss UDC (Central Democratic Union) party, which will hold a congress in the city March 17-18. The UDC is a right-wing party with anti-immigration policies.

It is not known how many will attend the demonstration. Heightened security measures will likely prompt disruptions in the vicinity of the Parc des Cropettes. Should counter-protesters gather, police will work to keep opposing groups of participants apart. Nonetheless, low-level clashes or other security disturbances cannot be ruled out.

Advice
