Iranian media outlets have reported that the country's air defense forces foiled a drone attack against the Amir Al-Momenin complex in Esfahan Province in the early hours of April 5. The incident does not appear to have resulted in casualties or significant material damage. Iranian authorities have yet to release further details; however, they have launched an investigation into the incident. Authorities have yet to also reveal the origin of the projectiles.

Iran's Ministry of Defense previously attributed an explosion at a munitions manufacturing center in the vicinity of Esfahan, Esfahan Province, to an unsuccessful drone attack that occurred on Jan. 28. Authorities stated that the country's air defense systems responded to the projectiles.

Increased security and disruptions to transport and business are likely in the vicinity of the incident site over the coming hours.
