Response operations are ongoing late April 5 after a tornado struck the Bollinger County, particularly Glen Allen area, southeastern Missouri, early April 5. Authorities have reported five fatalities and five others injured; search and rescue operations are ongoing. At least one person is in critical condition. At least 12 structures have been destroyed and dozens of other structures damaged, mostly around Glen Allen and the small rural community of Grassy. A gas leak has been reported.

Associated responses and tornado damage are likely to result in localized ground and rail travel delays in area over the coming days. Employees may be affected by possible business and school closures.
